Common activities |
In December 2005, the community kick-off meeting was held in Tudela. The
meeting was fixed as the starting point for the Project in the Spanish Community and was to establish contact among the different
partners of the consortium.
SUSIC conference: On 6 November 2006, representatives
of the Spanish communities Cerdanyola del Vallés (POLYCITY project), San Sebastian (TetraEner project), Viladecans
(cRRescendo project), Zaragoza (Renaissance project) met in Tudela, (ECO-City project) as hosts of the meeting. This CONCERT ACTION
day taking place just before the SUCIC Sustainable Cities Congress was the first meeting of all Spanish CONCERTO cities together and
offered the possibility of networking and knowledge exchange on the specificities of the Spanish projects.
CONCERTO Plus was invited to organise different round tables and work with the communities on issues of technical monitoring,
socio-economic aspects and dissemination.

ECO-buildings
|
As all the buildings are to be constructed in a non-urbanised location, the
main task for the local government has been to walk the first steps to prepare the calls for public tenders, especially the first
one to be prepared, which is the Modification of the General Plan for Urban Organization that is going to be affected by the project
and that is being prepared very carefully, considering a lot of aspects that will allow to present the ECO-City as a real global
environmentally-sustainable urbanisation. A climatic study has been done, and the public tender for civil works was called in June.
New tender for buildings and renewable energy supply systems is being launched.
